The Honours Class ‘Cybersecurity. Legal, philosophical and technical dimensions' was initiated and has been developed by the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus Centre for Safety and Security for students enrolled in an Honours Programme. It is taught by an interdisciplinary group of teachers from Leiden University and Delft University of Technology.
Students learn about the complexities of cybersecurity through a series of lectures that each shed light on a different dimension of this multidisciplinary domain. Throughout the course, they work on a group assignment, in which they will answer the following question: ‘How can we take measures to prevent a specific type of cybersecurity breach from happening again?’. To complete the class, the group hands in a paper and a short video, in which they explain a policy proposal.
